Complete and export an EET
How to fill in and export the European ESG Template (EET) for a fund.
The EET (European ESG Template) is the industry-standard file used to share ESG data — including taxonomy alignment, PAI indicators, and SFDR product classification — with distributors and financial advisers.
Steps
- Navigate to the relevant fund.
- Select EET from the reporting menu.
- Choose the reporting period (quarter and year).
- Complete the General Questions section — this includes the reporting period dates, SFDR product classification (Article 6, 8, or 9), and the share of sustainable investments.
- The quantitative fields (PAI indicators, taxonomy alignment percentages) are auto-populated from your portfolio data.
- Click Export to download the completed EET as an Excel file.
Pre-filling answers from a previous period
EET answers from a prior period are not automatically carried forward when you start a new period's EET. The general questions (fund classification, sustainable investment share) will need to be re-entered each time. If this is creating significant duplication of effort across multiple funds, contact your CSM.
If the EET export fails
The most common cause is a missing or invalid End date of the reporting period field in the General Questions section. Make sure this field is completed before attempting to export. If the error persists after filling all required fields, contact support@connect.earth with the fund name and period.
